DAY 2 - April 18th - Sunday - R. WESTBROOK (35)

Derrick Rose gave us 45 PRA yesterday. It was a great pick who allows us starting strong.
But it also showed us how dangereous a blowout can be, as it was headed to in the first half. But finally the Bulls, mainly thanks to Rose, went back and it allowed us to have that amazing starting night.
As it was predicted, Deng had an off game away and Noah wasn't great yesterday but I expect him to strike back the next game.

But let's go with today's pick.
Don't forget taking a look at timetable & players:
Obviously we won't enter in the Spurs vs. Mavs series yet. We will have to pick from this pool:
Blazers, Thunder, Bobcats

The worthy picks from these teams are these 6 players:
Blazers: Aldridge, Miller
Thunder: Durant, Westbrook
Bobcats: Jackson, Wallace

Now, the most important thing: let's take a look at the timetable:
We can see how the Blazers and Thunder play the first 4 games on the same days, and that in those days don't play the Spurs or Jazz. So those days could be useful for those teams. But picking on those days won't leave us picking the 3rd game of neither Bulls, Bobcats or Bucks.

From the Bucks we just need 1 day for Salmons or Jennings(and maybe we don't even use him, don't expect Jennings to repeat yesterday's performance).
And in April 21th there are only 2 games: SAS-DAL & CHA-ORL. That day is a clear choice for a Bobcat.
For the Bulls, we have already picked Rose.

I want to see how the Blazers play without Roy before making a decision on them

So that leaves us the Thunder as the team that needs to be picked earlier. And there are no big risks of them beating the Lakers in the first round.
That leaves us with the choice between Durant and Westbrook.

Durant played 38 minutes against Grizzlies in season closer. And I expect of him being anxious after the dialectical faceoff with Phil Jackson. It could be a great night for him, but is likely that Artest will make him know how the things run in PO's. Also, Durant is better at home.

While Westbrook is healthy but could damage again his ankle, so I want to use him as soon as possible. He has played extremelly well against the Lakers, even in the Staples. And he takes more shots outside Oklahoma.
If you add to the mix that he played just 25 minutes in the season closer, and that Farmar won't be fully recovered, we have the right pick for tomorrow in him.

  2. Ok I agree with your picks and with your way of playing this game, although yesterday I chose Jennings, but I think that Miller is also a good pick here. Dr. Phil said, after the game (on regular season) with OKC that Westbrook has improved and that they should take him seriously into account next time. Also Suns blazers will be a high scoring game. Finally I think that you should not think of picking Jackson today, and wait until the homecourt games where bobcats are very strong.

  3. Rolling with Westbrook aswell :) It makes sense. Hoping for 15 plus assists and several walks to the free throw line :)
